More to do......

I have much more to do today in order for my craft space to be fully functioning- I have now turned it into a catch all while I am sorting all my pics, and scrapbooking stuff- so hopefully, by the end of today - I will have made some progress!!!! If so , I will take a picture and post it-
I am finally feeling a little better ( I was sick for 3 days) so I am getting back to the swing of things. Spring is around the corner ( I am hoping) and there is SOOOO much to do and there will be even more going on ........ The boys are napping- so I better take advantage of my extra time!

Making Valentines Boxes

We had fun making some Valentines boxes for school. A couple of weeks ago, Jake and I went to Michaels and picked out some embellishments for his and Owen's Valentine box for school. While there, we also picked out some other crafty things to make- some glitter critters and also a hanger for their bedroom doors.

We had fun gluing and sticking hearts, stars and GUITARS on their boxes!! Jake picked out the glitzy guitar pack for him and Owen

They were both very proud of their work after it was all done.

A New Decade

Wow- sometimes I am amazed at how fast the time has flown by....

It is already a new decade... I have been trying to go through some pictures, organizing, figuring out which ones I have actual copies made, in order to scrapbook. While doing so, I have been reminiscing about all the changes and things our little family has gone through... I can't help but look at a picture and remember what was going on that time in our lives... It is really fun....

The most interesting thing about it all, is that I look at some of these pictures, and it seems like it was just yesterday, but in fact, it could be 5 years ago.....
It really just puts everything in perspective and makes you get back to "living in the moment" since it just goes way too fast ..... here are some oldies ( kind of ) to enjoy!!

The black and white one was when I was pregnant with Jake and at my sister's house- there are some at our old house in Phx in our backyard, and then right after we bought our house in Roscoe..... Jake on his first airplane ride..... Most of these are a little older as many of the more recent pics are on disc - these just happen to be on a disc and on my computer...

You really value your health when you are not feeling well, or fighting something.

The kids have been sick and it seems I always get what they have, or something similar. It doesn't help when your 2 yr old coughs always in your face. We have been washing our hands to where they are so dry and raw just to try and prevent illness.....

Needless to say, trying to get things done around the house to get it ready to put it back up for sale doesn't help- since between work, caring for the kids and overall housework- I tend to burn the candle at both ends. Balance is what I need- but this is a constant battle.

Let alone, the scrapbooking...... I have finally realized I need to schedule the time to make it happen... even if it is just an hour. I am in the process of bringing some things from the basement up that can go into the craft room and as I am doing this, I am weeding thru some things I no longer need- I have a tendency to hold onto stuff... I have all this great paper I need to get some pics on!!! I am also organizing all my pics and putting them in order....

Now speaking of holding onto stuff-- have you seen the show, I believe on A and E channel, called "Hoarders" I find it fascinating.... I know I am not that bad- but it is unbelievable what people keep and why they keep certain things-
I have been going through old cards, letters and other stuff- Would you believe I have letters written from my sister when she was in college??? They are bundled up- I will have to read them for a good laugh- I am sure there are some funny things in there- I am not ready to give those up yet- so I guess I will hoard them away for another day........
